ABOUT THE AMP PREPARATORY STRING ORCHESTRAS

The AMP Preparatory String Orchestras are group classes for violin, viola, cello, and double bass, serving students in grades 1 to 6. These group classes are designed for students interested in making friends while learning and performing music in an orchestral setting. No experience is needed. All instruments and class materials are provided on loan by AMP. 


REHEARSAL & CONCERT SCHEDULE

Students in the AMP Preparatory String Orchestras will rehearse twice a week at the AMP Center For Performance & Education located at 883 Dill Avenue SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.

Tuesdays: 5:00PM - 6:15PM

Thursdays: 5:00PM - 6:15PM

During the AMP Preparatory String Orchestra season, there are two mandatory concerts students must participate in. These concerts take place on Tuesday, November 17th, 2026 and Tuesday, April 27th, 2027.

 

REGISTRATION FEE

Each student will have to pay a $50 non-refundable registration fee ($25 for each additional sibling) per school year. Before completing your registration, you will be asked to pay the non-refundable registration fee. Payment plans are available. Please note: No student will be turned away due to financial hardship.

 

TUITION

All students receive a full scholarship covering tuition.
